-
- How to determine the Max Transfer Rate (MTR) is the million dollar question,
- to find out what yours is set at you use HDToolBox in the Tools directory
- (using the advance options).

-
- This could also be a problem caused by the new and I guess faster HD, I change
- my MTR to 0x1fe00 and this seemed to reduce my problems.
- I also discovered that I was having an overheating problem, the HD would get
- quite hot and this in turn would overheat the mother board. I cured this by
- buying a mini tower case and installing the HD into this, the IDE cable I used
- is only 40cm in length. Since then I have had no further trouble.
-
- I hope this will help you.
- Regards, Trev Daley.
